A delightful combination of sweet and salty, this Salted Caramel Pretzel Bark is perfect for satisfying your sweet cravings.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups pretzel sticks
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Spread the pretzel sticks in an even layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  3. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the sugar, butter, and heavy cream. Stir until it comes to a boil and let it boil for 3 minutes.
  4. Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and sea salt.
  5. Pour the caramel mixture over the pretzels, spreading it evenly.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes.
  7. Remove from oven, and immediately sprinkle chocolate chips over the top.
  8. Once the chocolate has melted, use a spatula to spread it evenly over the caramel pretzel layer.
  9. If desired, sprinkle chopped nuts on top of the melted chocolate.
  10. Allow to cool completely, then break into pieces and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a festive touch, consider adding colorful sprinkles on top of the chocolate before it sets.
