A deliciously creamy and flavorful butter chicken recipe that can be made quickly for a weeknight meal.

  • 1 pound boneless chicken thighs
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 2 teaspoons garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the onion, garlic, and ginger, and sauté until soft.
  3. Stir in the spices and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Add the chicken and cook until browned on all sides.
  5. Pour in the tomato sauce and simmer for 15 minutes.
  6. Stir in the cream and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  7. Season with salt and garnish with cilantro before serving.
