  • 1 pound Italian sausage
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups spinach
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, cook the Italian sausage over medium heat until browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic until translucent.
  4. Add heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted.
  5. Add spinach and cook until wilted. Return the sausage to the skillet.
  6. Mix the cooked pasta with the sauce and sausage. Season with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with extra Parmesan if desired.
