  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup whipped cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add the cold butter and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in the heavy cream and vanilla extract until just combined.
  5. Turn onto a floured surface, knead gently, and roll out to about 1 inch thick.
  6. Cut into circles and place them on a baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
  8. While the cakes are baking, prepare the strawberries by mixing them with powdered sugar and letting them sit.
  9. Once the cakes are cooled, slice them in half and layer with strawberries and whipped cream.
