Instructions

  3. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
  4. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and roll it out to about 1/4 inch thick.
  5. Cut the dough into squares or circles.
  6. Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or pot to 350°F (175°C).
  7. Fry the beignets in batches until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes on each side.
