A delicious and easy recipe for Southern Sweet Potato Casserole that brings comfort and flavor to your table.

Ingredients

  • 4 large sweet potatoes
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup miniature marshmallows

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Pierce the sweet potatoes with a fork and bake for about 45 minutes or until soft.
  3. Once cool, peel and mash the sweet potatoes in a bowl.
  4. Add brown sugar, melted butter, milk, eggs, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg to the mashed sweet potatoes.
  5. Mix until well combined, then pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.
  6. Top with miniature marshmallows.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden and bubbly.
