  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 package cream cheese (8 oz), softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter and granulated sugar, and cream together until smooth.
  3. Add in the vanilla extract and mix until combined.
  4. Gradually add the all-purpose flour and salt, mixing until a dough forms.
  5. Press the dough into the bottom of a greased baking dish.
  6. In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and brown sugar until smooth.
  7. Add the egg and mix well.
  8. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the dough in the baking dish.
  9. In a small bowl, mix together the cinnamon and brown sugar.
  10. Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the cream cheese layer.
  11. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until set. Let cool before slicing into bars.
