  • 2 pounds chicken thighs
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons garam masala
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1 tablespoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 1 can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 cups cooked rice, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix yogurt, garam masala, cumin, coriander, turmeric, and cayenne pepper. Add chicken and coat well.
  2. Transfer the chicken mixture to the slow cooker.
  3. Add onion, garlic, ginger, and crushed tomatoes to the slow cooker. Stir to combine.
  4. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 4 hours.
  5. Stir in heavy cream before serving.
  6. Serve over cooked rice.
