- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup grits
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 6 slices turkey bacon, cooked and chopped
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a pot, bring the chicken broth to a boil and whisk in the grits. Reduce heat and simmer.
- Stir in the heavy cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until thickened.
- Fold in the shrimp and half of the bacon. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.
- Top with shredded cheddar cheese and remaining bacon.
- Bake for 30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can add green onions or bell peppers to the mix.
- Serve with a side salad for a complete meal.
