  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm water, brown sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add olive oil, flour, salt, cocoa powder, and baking soda. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf. Place in a greased loaf pan.
  6. Let the dough rise for another 30 minutes.
