Mounds Brownies are a delicious and indulgent dessert that combines rich chocolate with coconut and a hint of almond extract.

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the sugar and butter until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients.
  6. Fold in the coconut and chocolate chips.
  7. Spread the batter into the prepared baking pan.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Let cool before cutting into squares.
