Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 3 cups cooked rice
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add the soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger to the beef. Cook for another 5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  3. In another pot, steam the broccoli until tender.
  4. Serve the beef mixture over rice and top with steamed broccoli, green onions, and sesame oil. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add chili flakes to the beef mixture.
  • Feel free to add other vegetables such as bell peppers or carrots.
