  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk
  • 1 pound chicken thighs, boneless and skinless
  • 1/2 cup hot honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh herbs (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add the cold butter to the flour mixture and cut it in until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in the buttermilk until just combined.
  5. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead gently before rolling it out to about 1 inch thick.
  6. Cut out biscuits and place them on a baking sheet.
  7. In another bowl, season chicken with hot honey, black pepper, and garlic powder.
  8. Cook the chicken in a skillet over medium heat until golden brown and cooked through.
  9. Assemble the biscuits by placing chicken in between them and drizzling with additional hot honey.
  10. Serve warm and enjoy!

  • For added flavor, marinate the chicken in hot honey for a few hours before cooking.
