- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- In a saucepan, combine granulated sugar, cocoa powder, and butter over medium heat. Stir until melted.
- Add sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, ground ginger, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, and salt. Stir until well combined.
- Remove from heat and fold in chopped pecans.
- Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and spread evenly.
- Let it cool at room temperature until set, then cut into squares.
Notes
- For a stronger ginger flavor, add more ground ginger.
