  • 1 pound crab meat
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 4 cups fish stock
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add onions and garlic, and sauté until softened.
  3. Stir in the flour to make a roux, cooking for a couple of minutes.
  4. Gradually whisk in the fish stock until smooth.
  5. Bring to a simmer, then add the cream and Old Bay seasoning.
  6. Add the crab and shrimp, cooking until heated through.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste before serving.

  • For added flavor, consider using homemade fish stock.
