A delicious recipe for homemade cinnamon bread inspired by Dollywood’s famous treat.

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add the melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract, and stir until just combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon.
  5. Pour half of the batter into a greased loaf pan.
  6. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mixture on top.
  7. Pour the remaining batter and top with the rest of the cinnamon sugar.
  8. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let cool before slicing and serving.
