Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and brown sugar.
  3. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. Combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt; gradually add to the creamed mixture.
  5. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  6. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes in the preheated oven.
  8. Allow to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.
