  • 1/2 cup crushed candy canes
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract; mix well.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until combined.
  6. Fold in crushed candy canes.
  7. Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto a baking sheet, spacing them apart.
  8. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
  9. Allow to cool before dusting with powdered sugar.
