  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup hot water

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease and flour a bundt pan.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Stir in vanilla extract.
  6. In another bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  7. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the buttermilk and hot water.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan.
  9. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
