  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter and mix in the brown sugar and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the eggs and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chopped pecans.
  7. Pour half of the batter into a greased baking pan and spread evenly.
  8. Drizzle half of the caramel sauce over the batter.
  9. Spread the remaining batter on top and finish with another drizzle of caramel sauce.
  10. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  11. Let cool before cutting into bars.
