  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 3 cups granulated sugar
  • 6 large eggs
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and cream cheese until smooth.
  3. Add sugar and mix until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  5. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt; gradually add to the creamed mixture.
  6. Pour half of the batter into a greased and floured bundt pan.
  7. Drizzle half of the caramel sauce over the batter.
  8. Pour the remaining batter, then drizzle the rest of the caramel sauce on top.
  9. Bake for 75-90 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Let it cool in the pan for 15 minutes before inverting onto a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For an extra kick, sprinkle some sea salt on top of the cake before serving.
