  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar (for swirls)
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon (for swirls)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, 2 tablespoons brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, egg, and melted butter.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently mix until combined.
  4. In a small bowl, mix together the remaining 1/4 cup brown sugar and 1 tablespoon cinnamon for the swirl.
  5. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and pour a ladle of pancake batter onto the skillet.
  6. Before the pancakes set, sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mix over the top.
  7. Cook until bubbles form, then flip and cook until golden on both sides.
  8. Serve warm with syrup.

Notes

  • For richer flavor, add vanilla extract to the batter.
  • Keep pancakes warm in the oven at low temperature while cooking the rest.
