  • 12 large pasta shells
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 jar marinara sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the pasta shells according to the package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  4. Add ricotta cheese, mozzarella, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and onion powder to the beef and mix well.
  5. Stuff each pasta shell with the beef mixture and place in a baking dish.
  6. Pour marinara sauce over the stuffed shells and sprinkle with additional mozzarella.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  8. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add some red pepper flakes to the beef mixture.
  • Can substitute turkey for a lighter option.
