  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 bread bowls

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add beef and brown on all sides.
  3. Add onion, carrots, and potatoes; cook until tender.
  4. Add beef broth, tomato paste, thyme, salt, and pepper; bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat and simmer for 1.5 hours.
