  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together balsamic vinegar, honey, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place chicken breasts in a baking dish and pour the marinade over them.
  4. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  5. Remove the foil, brush chicken with olive oil, and bake for another 15 minutes until cooked through.
  6. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.

Notes

  • Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less honey.
  • Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing for better juiciness.
