  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, chilled and cubed
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups diced apples
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  3. Add the cubed butter and blend until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in the milk and vanilla extract until just combined.
  5. In another bowl, toss the diced apples with cinnamon and lemon juice.
  6. Roll out the biscuit dough on a floured surface and cut into squares.
  7. Place a spoonful of the apple mixture in the center of each square and fold over, sealing the edges.
  8. Place the biscuits on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.
